Kevin Spizarny, LMSW
Hello, my name is Kevin Spizarny and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have been a licensed therapist since 2008 and have experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couples and families.
If you or your child has experienced a traumatic event such as a serious accident, physical abuse, sexual abuse, a life altering event or if you are having parenting problems related to other situations, I can help you and your child to process this difficult event and assist in reducing the physical, emotional, and psychological effects of the event . If you are experiencing depression, anxiety, or difficulty adjusting to a life event or feeling overwhelmed by the challenges of life, I can help you manage these emotions, process through them, and learn practical skills to overcome them. If you are suffering from obsessions and compulsions, I can help you to face your fears and find control in your life. If you or a loved one is dealing with an addiction or attachment to pornography, I can help you overcome this scourge with real solutions. If your marriage is struggling or is not as fullfilling as you expected, I can help husbands and wives to identify shared goals and to work together towards those goals.
I have been trained in several evidenced based practices including: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Exposure and Response Prevention, Person Centered Therapy, and am Nationally Certified in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I believe it is important to not only offer a trained listening ear for the client but to also help to develop measurable goals and practical effective strategies to meet those goals.
As a Catholic Therapist, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Divine Healer and that through Him I can help you to find freedom and healing from your mental and behavioral challenges. I provide therapeutic services for both religious and non religious clients and respect the wishes and desires of the client and will only incorporate faith into the therapeutic process if the client desires.
I started Fully Alive Therapeutic Services in 2020 as a an opportunity to help children, adults, and families to reach their goals and live a life that is intentional. I look forward to working with you to help you to reach your goals and to be more fully alive.
